Tucked inside a corner of a small plaza its very easy to miss. I didn't even know there was a sushi joint here even if I lived in the area for many years until my brother in law took our family here about 10 years ago or so. At that time it wasn't a omakase only style but it was just a small Japanese izakaya style joint. Recently I got reminded of this joint and called to make reservation for their omakase dinner for friend's birthday. I usually don't like omakase because I always leave the restaurant hungry... but not Kantaro.. Every time I leave here I am stuffed with not even a room for dessert. Joint is not fancy, its actually outdated BUT that is what makes this place special. Small moms and pops style omakase. Variety of dishes including appetizer, sashimi, sushi, hand roll, fried fish and etc are served. Every dish is delicious. This restaurant deserves every star!

My 4 year old gets so excited every time we go. Love this place. Now my mom is also a fan. She's new at sushi and now she's as excited as my son when we go.

This is one of the place one of my friends recommended to me awhile back. It is definitely one of those spots I want to gate keep since it meets some of my fave criterias: 1) good value 2) great food 3) unassuming small business/mom and pop This spot is in an unassuming plaza run by a husband and wife. They do 60-70ish dollar omakase that comes with a lot of food (10 pieces of sushi, sashimi platter, fried fish, and dessert). The sushi isn't high end by any means, but it is good quality and value for the amount of food that you get. I do recommend reservations as I don't think they take walk-ins.
